How does partner sync work?

Both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi with the app open. Open “More → Partner sync” on both devices and scan the other device’s QR code with one of them. This is only needed once. After that the devices sync by themselves: when the app opens, after every change and regularly while the app is open. Everything runs encrypted and without a server, directly between your devices.

Why don’t entries arrive when the app is closed?

Because DADA works without a server, your partner’s app has to be open to receive data. The next time you both have the app open, everything syncs within seconds. Nothing gets lost in the meantime.

It says “Your partner’s data belongs to a different baby profile”

Then you each created a profile independently on your own device. DADA deliberately does not merge two different profiles. On one device, delete the data under “More → Danger zone” and choose “Take over from partner” when starting again, the profile and all entries then come from the other device.

Is my data safe when I switch phones?

On iPhone, DADA backs up to your private iCloud; on Android the app is included in the encrypted backup of your Google account. In addition you can create a file at any time under “More → Export data” and read it back on the new device via “Import data”. Entries are never duplicated in the process.

How do I delete all data?

Under “More → Danger zone → Delete all data”. As a safeguard you have to type the word DELETE. This removes the entries on the device, the pairing with the partner device and the iCloud backup. If you are offline at the time, the app catches up on the cloud deletion the next time it starts with an internet connection.

Does Premium cover both parents?

Yes. One purchase covers the family on up to five devices, mixed between iPhone and Android as well. The device the purchase was made on passes the unlock on through partner sync. It is tied to your baby profile and renews with every sync, so it cannot be handed on to outsiders.

Where do I find night mode?

On the home screen at the top right, via the moon symbol. Night mode shows warm deep red and very large buttons, and keeps the display on while it is open.

Which languages does DADA come in?

German, English, Croatian, Czech, Italian, French and Slovak. The app follows your device language.
